Lachezar Tsotsorkov Foundation was established in honor of the inspiring leader and great Bulgarian, who believed that the purpose of human life is to make the world a better place.
Prof. Lachezar Dimitrov Tsotsorkov, PhD (October 16, 1945 – May 16, 2017) was born in Panagyurishte. As a general manager and visionary for modern development of the Bulgarian mineral resources industry, he headed Assarel-Medet for over 30 years and was Chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology for over 25 years.He is the winner of the highest state award – “Order of Stara Planina – first degree” and many national and international awards, including “Manager of the Year 2009”.
